Tomorrow deadline for local authority candidate nominations

Delayed election to be held on 22 July

There's only a day left to put yourself forward to stand in the local authority elections.

Nomination papers must be submitted tomorrow (29 Jun) to take part in the contest which will be held on 22 July.

Several commissioners and councillors have raised concerns about a lack of interest in the elections which have been delayed several times due to Covid.

Anyone who wants to stand must be on the electoral register.
