Triple Olympic gold medallist Ben Ainslie will visit the Isle of Man later this year.
The BBC Sports Personality of the Year finalist will speak at a black-tie dinner at the Hilton Hotel, in aid of the Isle of Man Children’s Centre.
'Quest for Gold' will be the title of his talk, with proceeds going to the centre’s Mobex Project, which offers development programmes for young people, utilising outdoor education, arts and music.
Chief executive of the centre John Knight has hailed Ainslie as one of the most positive role models for young people today.
Ben Ainslie has won nine World and European Championships in his sailing career and has been named British Yachtsman of the Year five times.
