Tough time for health minister at Peel gathering

 

Health Minister David Anderson came under more pressure at Tuesday's Roamin' CoMin meeting in Peel.

 

He was asked if he had confidence in the management team at Noble's Hospital and if there are any plans to replace them.

 

He was interupted from the floor several times when he argued that leaked letters from consultants and reports presented a slanted view of matters.

 

Mr Anderson, who survived a vote of no confidence in Tynwald earlier this month, was then pressed on complications suffered by colorectal patients following surgery.

 

Surgery was suspended at the end of last year while a full investigation took place and only resumed after new procedures were put in place.
