Tourist praises 'exemplary act of kindness'

Visitor wants to trace local who helped him after fall

A visitor to the Isle of Man has issued an appeal, to try and get in touch with the strangers who assisted him in his time of need last month.

Ron from Southport was left hurt and immobilised after a heavy fall in Peel on 19 September, with injuries to his ankle and elbow.

The tourist was helped back to his feet by a passing lady and gentleman who stopped to assist him.

Ron says the lady, who he thinks was called 'Jennie', then persuaded him to seek medical advice and escorted him to Peel Medical Centre for treatment.

His injuries were worse than he initially realised, and Ron wishes to get back in touch with those who gave up their time to ensure his safety.

It's thought 'Jennie' drove a Vauxhall SUV vehicle, and had a dog and two grandchildren.

Do you know who this could be?
