Comes after calls for gov't to do more to help hospitality sector
A Manx food business says its profit margins are massively down despite the business being busy.
It comes after the Licensed Vituallers Association called on the government to do more for the sector.
A government spokesperson says it's committed to supporting the industry but solutions need to be appropriate and take account of the pressures being felt across the community as a whole.
Johnny McDowell is the owner of New Cod on the Block in Onchan:
Meanwhile, in response to the LVA's statement, Steven Taylor the Managing Director of Okell’s Inns, told Manx Radio: "In relation to the matter, we recognise and share the problems that the hospitality industry has faced in recent times.
"We will continue to work with all parties to find sustainable solutions that benefit the industry and our Island.”
