Investigation launches into Snaefell incident
The safety of the Island's electric railways will come under the spotlight as an investigation into a recent brake failure gets underway.
It follows an incident last week where a Snaefell Mountain Railway carriage lost power whilst descending from the summit.
No one was injured in the scare, but concerns have been raised and a probe launched.
Trams will operate at a reduced speed as the investigation continues.
Director of Environment, Safety and Health at DEFA, Bernard Warden, says the aim is clear:
Warning over flare disposal after amenity site fire
Suspended sentence for 56-year-old in cannabis supply case
Owner of a block of flats fined for failing to meet fire safety regulations
