The horse trams on Douglas Promenade are to run later in the evening this summer.
It's hoped the initiative will increase revenue for the service, which has operated at a loss for a number of years.
At this week's council meeting, it was decided to start the trams later in the morning, at 11am, and keep them running until 8pm.
It's hoped the new arrangement will give more people the chance to use the service after they have finished work.
