
Onchan ratepayers preparing to pack away the Christmas decorations can dispose of their tree and help the district at the same time over the next week.
From Saturday (5th) until Thursday (10th), trees can be taken to a compound behind the commissioners’ offices in Main Road, 24 hours a day.
The local authority will use the shreddings to help nurture the Centenary Park at Cronk-ny-Mona, which is a long-term project to convert the former Onchan tip into an area for recreation and ramblage.
