Trial for man accused of assaulting fiancée

33-year-old denies three offences

A Douglas man will stand trial after being accused of assaulting his fiancée and causing her actual bodily harm.

Karl Allen Cameron, of Cronk-Y-Berry, denied the offence during an appearance at Douglas Courthouse.

He also entered not guilty pleas to charges of causing damage at her home in Port Erin and stealing her phone, purse and jewellery.

All of the offences were allegedly committed on 17 November.

The 33-year-old’s bail application was refused and he was remanded at the Isle of Man Prison until his next court appearance on 20 December.

A pre-trial review will then take place on 17 January.
