Philip Bertram Quayle served two terms on the local authority
Ramsey Commissioners has announced the death of former chairman, Philip Bertram 'Bert' Quayle.
Mr Quayle was first elected to the local authority in 1977, topping the poll.
He served two terms on the board.
In 1980, he was chosen as chair having previously held the position of Deputy Chair as well as leader of the housing committee.
Ramsey Commissioners says Mr. Quayle is remembered fondly and sends its condolences to his family and friends.
