The owners of the city's favourite feline has confirmed her death
Tributes are being paid to Douglas' famous feline, Smudge, after her owners confirmed she'd died peacefully in Glen Falcon.
Smudge's owners add that she 'lived life to the full' and had many friends and servants.
Mannin Hotel, a frequent host of Smudge, says she became a 'familiar face' to guests and its staff.
It added she was one of the hotel's 'most famous' and much-loved guest with her own dedicated bed.
A number of tribute posts shared on social media show Smudge helping out at various events including Ballakermeen's Year 11 Prom and guarding School of Rock Costumes at the Gaiety Theatre.
Her Facebook page will remain open for people to share their memories.
