TT organisers clarify prohibited zone for spectators

New map released confirming no entry areas

TT organisers have clarified the area in Ramsey spectators will not be able to use for the remainder of the 2026 racing fortnight.

Albert Square, located on the left-hand side after the exit from Parliament Square, is now designated as a prohibited area.

It follows a serious incident yesterday (25 May) in which eight spectators were injured.

Spectators must not enter or remain within the area at any time when roads are closed.

All other previously accessible spectator locations in the Parliament Square area remain unchanged.

In previous statements the Isle of Man TT Races organisers described the area impacted as 'Parliament Square' which Manx Radio sought to clarify. 

A map has now been issued for clarity:

A spokesperson said: "The prohibited area is officially defined as: Albert Square, Ramsey. 

"The left-hand side of the course - from the left-hand gatepost of No.1 Albert Square, diagonally across the road, to the prominent tree situated within the grassed area, then to the multi-directional information sign, and thereafter to the yellow barrier located at the end of the grassed area.

"Please follow the instructions of marshals and officials at all times and only spectate from approved viewing locations."
