TT parade lap for key workers on Saturday

More than 400 motorcyclists to get involved

There's a chance for the public to thank key workers for their efforts throughout the pandemic this bank holiday weekend.

A parade lap by those in health and emergency services, 'vital' companies and volunteer organisations will take place around the TT course on Saturday (29 Aug).

More than 400 motorcyclists will accompany the convoy, with all funds raised from the event going to a number of the Island's health charities.

Organiser, Kevin Dodds, says it's a chance to show your appreciation for the efforts of key workers:

The event, which is at 'full capacity' according to Mr Dodds, gets underway at 3pm, and those who'd like to join the cavalcade in their own vehicles are invited to do so.

Anyone taking up the offer is asked to arrive at 2:15pm to allow ample time for preparation.

Mr Dodds says he's got fingers crossed for fine weather on Saturday, and has thanked the Department for Enterprise for its help in organising the event.

Inspiration for the parade lap came from similar motorbike ride outs organised in the UK.
