TT: top riders react to 2021 cancellation

John McGuinness & Ian Hutchinson discuss future of races

Some of the TT's top riders have been reacting to the cancellation of next year's races.

The decision on the 2021 event was taken due to the ongoing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Next time I stand on the start line I'll be fifty-years old, looking down Bray Hill on a superbike. I'm not sure if that's going to happen."

Twenty-three time TT winner John McGuinness says he's shocked, but the Morecambe Missile hopes the next races will be something special.

He gave his reaction to the cancellation to Manx Radio's John Moss:

"The whole focus was on coming back and getting some wins, but I won't be going anywhere, I'll come back to the TT as soon as it's ready for us."

The only man who's ever won the TT five time in a single week, Ian Hutchinson says not being able to ride is something he's experienced many times, but admits it never gets easier:
