A Tynwald debate and vote on plans to make Island students contribute towards their university tuition fees is set to take place this evening.
President of Tynwald Clare Christian confirmed at the start of today's sitting the matter would go before the court when they resumed after tea.
Meanwhile students once again gathered outside ahead of the sitting to protest against the proposals.
Their petition, with around 2,500 signatures on it, will be handed to the court by Onchan MHK Peter Karran before the debate.
