Dramatic distinctions earned in exams
Two local schools are celebrating outstanding exam results from one of the UK's oldest and most well-known drama academies.
Assessors from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art awarded a distinction to every student in years five and six at the Buchan school for the 'Choral - Speaking' certificate.
Pupils at King William's College were also celebrating, after 20 of the 30 exams entered received distinctions, with the remaining 10 achieving merits.
Drama teacher at King William's College Zoe Watterson says the assessments are challenging but help pupils build self-confidence, communicate effectively and speak eloquently in front of audiences.
She adds that everyone worked so hard and should be proud of the fantastic results, awarded to them by one of the most respected drama schools in the UK.
