Lifeboat crews have assisted two swimmers who got into difficulty in Peel bay last night.
The pair, who were visiting for TT, were both showing signs of hypothermia, despite only being in the water for around 25 minutes.
Paramedics were called to assist, and they were later given the all clear to head back to their campsite.
Their friend, who raised the alarm, has been commended for their 'quick thinking' in calling the coastguard.
The lifeboat volunteers say the outcome could have been very different for the swimmers, and people are now being reminded to respect the sea.
