Packed agenda for November Tynwald

Chamber to consider 42 items on Order Paper

A packed sitting of Tynwald begins this morning.

No less than 42 separate items of business will be put before members from this morning, along with 28 questions.

Those queries cover topics ranging from freezing utility rates, to reducing A&E waiting times, cutting police budgets and the performance of the horse trams in 2016.

Along with 17 pieces of legislation being put before the court, Tynwald will also reports from the Public Services Commission, Manx Radio and the Government Account.

Items likely to dominate the sitting will be the draft Programme for Government; a report on family social services; recommendations on the jury system and elderly residential care; and the appointment of members to a range of committees.

You can hear full coverage from the chamber on Manx Radio's AM1368 frequency, online or via our mobile apps from 10.30am.
