
The outcome of the Hymans Robertson Review into public sector pensions may have implications for Tynwald members, after all.
This was confirmed in the House of Keys today following a question from South Douglas MHK Bill Malarkey, who wanted to know why the pensions of MHKs and MLCs weren't being looked at.
Answering on behalf of the Chief Minister, Agriculture Minister Phil Gawne (pictured) said, unlike civil servants' pensions, the Tynwald scheme did not come under government control.
It was a matter for Tynwald itself to address, and there was a standing committee which reviewed it:
