Concern over legal protections
A pair of campaigners are hoping to raise issue of grandparents' rights after handing over a petition on Tynwald Day.
Heather Miles and her husband Terry presented the document in St John's, during the open-air sitting of parliament today.
Nineteen petitions for redress of grievance were submitted, and will be assessed by the Standing Orders Committee of Tynwald.
Then, a member of the Manx parliament may adopt them and press for a committee to be established to investigate the grievance - this, however, is not guaranteed.
Mrs Miles explained to Local Democracy Reporter Ewan Gawne why she was presenting this petition:
Overnight sailings cancelled due to adverse weather
Rapist who 'terrorised' his victim told his sentence was 'entirely justified'
Complaints process for health system changed
Discovery of oiled birds 'makes a mockery of our biosphere status'
