Stephen Warren, former AG to Jersey, put forward
Members of Tynwald will be asked to approve the appointment of the Island's first Tynwald Auditor General next month.
Stephen Warren, currently Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General to the Channel Island of Jersey, has been selected for the role by a committee.
It's a new position and the Auditor General's main task will be to make savings across government.
It was first given the go ahead by Tynwald in November 2020, with hopes to have somebody in the role by April the following year.
Recruitment efforts, until now it seems, have failed to bear fruit - with previous applicants reported as 'lacking the experience required'.
Member of the Auditor General Selection Committee and Speaker of the House of Keys, Juan Watterson, will move that members approve Mr Warren's appointment in March's sitting.
