A proposal to create an independent police complaints system in the Isle of Man will go before Tynwald during the current sitting.
It's in a report from a select committee, which is recommending the Department of Home Affairs develop and establish such a structure.
The committee was set up to investigate the grievance of Castletown man, former Greater Manchester Police Inspector, Roy Redmayne.
Mr Redmayne (pictured) believes improvements can only be made within the current system if there are changes at the top level.
He also says the proposal to be examined by Tynwald doesn't go far enough:
Drugs activity on the Island leading to kidnappings, says chief constable
Amber weather warning brings flooding and road closures
Dozens of secondary pupils suspended for extended periods last academic year
Manx Telecom telegraph pole plans refused over visual concerns
