UK bird flu cases highlight need for vigilance

Chief Veterinary Officer discusses outbreaks in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire

Recent outbreaks of Bird Flu in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire have highlighted the need for vigilance in all parts of the British Isles.

That's the message from the Manx Government's Chief Veterinary Officer, Amy Beckett.

The latest cases were found in Wild Seagulls and a poultry flock. Dr Beckett says the fact there haven't been any recent cases locally does not mean the danger has passed.
