Josh MacAlister met with chief minister and deputy chief minister this week
A UK MP is calling for the return of a ferry route between the Isle of Man and West Cumbria.
Josh MacAlister, the member for Whitehaven and Workington, met with Chief Minister Alfred Cannan and Deputy Chief Minister Jane Poole-Wilson at the Labour Party Conference earlier this week.
He says they discussed working together to bring back a passenger ferry service between the two areas as it was one of the most popular suggestions in a recent Whitehaven town centre survey.
A follow up meeting between agencies in West Cumbria and the Isle of Man Government will take place this autumn.
