Island no tax haven - DExEU minister
The UK government will continue to defend the Isle of Man from being 'blacklisted' by the European Union, even after Brexit.
That's according to junior minister at the UK Department for Exiting the European Union, MP Robin Walker.
He says the Crown Dependencies have made significant progress on transparency in their financial services sectors, and can no longer be considered tax havens.
The minister's been in the Island this week meeting senior politicians and representatives from different industry and business sectors to discuss their Brexit concerns.
Mr Walker says in many cases, Manx and British interests are aligned:
Warning over flare disposal after amenity site fire
Suspended sentence for 56-year-old in cannabis supply case
Owner of a block of flats fined for failing to meet fire safety regulations
