UK wool being used on peat restoration scheme

Manx product could be used in future if project is successful 

Wool from the UK is being used on Manx uplands as part of a peat restoration scheme.

The idea is use it to surround areas that were stripped of peat when it was used as a fuel.

The wool rolls are used to trap pools of water and encourage peat to form.

John Moss went up to Beinn Y Pot, which means turf summit, to meet Sarah Hickey - a peatland and upland carbon officer- and upland ranger Anna Clarke-Smith:
