Advocates Disciplinary Tribunal review
The Advocates Disciplinary Tribunal says ultimate power lies with the Deemsters, and that's "the right way of doing it".
The Tribunal sat in front of a Tynwald Scrutiny Committee yesterday (Mon 23).
Chairperson Jane Poole Wilson mentioned the idea of 'practicing certificates' for advocates, as a means of monitoring ongoing professional standards.
She asked what sanctions were available to the Tribunal, and whether they were sufficient.
This was the answer:
Lessons learned after snow day confusion
More than 100 firearms surrendered
Planning application to extend TT hospitality tent for new Food and Drink Festival submitted
'No tangible positives' achieved by public sector integrity line, says trade union
