Orran finishes 57th in 330km event
An ultramarathon runner has battled seven hours of heat exhaustion to complete an extreme race in the Italian Alps.
Orran Smith was competing in the Tour des Geants - which is 330km long and takes in more than 24,000 metres of elevation - to raise money for Cruse Bereavement.
Athletes have 150 hours to finish and Orran finished 57th out of a field of more than 1100 competitors.
He told Manx Radio he would change his training in future to better prepare for competing in extreme heat:
