Union official on bus timetable negotiations

A union official says guarantees over job security were a key factor in drivers agreeing to work the Island's new bus timetable.

There has been been a mixed response to the revised schedule from the travelling public, since it came in at the start of last week.

As far as negotiations were concerned, the head of Unite in the Island, Steve Salter, says there were no threats of job losses if staff refused to accept the changes, but the issue may have cropped up in conversations:
