It looks as if some of the houses in Upper Pulrose might be knocked down and rebuilt, after all.
Councillors had previously decided that, unlike the properties in the lower part of the estate, extensive refurbishment was the best option.
Public Works Committee Chairman, Councillor Ritchie McNicholl, is stressing homes in the Outer Ring will stay but, following talks with government over costings, it now seems those in the Inner Ring could be demolished and replaced (audio file attached):
The refurbishment of Upper Pulrose is on the agenda for Wednesday's meeting of Douglas Town Council.
