World War Two veteran Hector Duff honoured with Douglas accolade
An Island war veteran has received his latest accolade: an honourary freedom of the Borough from Douglas Council.
96-year-old Hector Duff served in the Second World War, before embarking on an illustrious career in the Police force.
He continues to work today, providing talks to schoolchildren on his life and experiences.
Mr. Duff said he was 'honoured' to receive the vellum.
