Measures brought in to abide by social distancing rules
The Speaker of the House of Keys says it's only right that Tynwald is exploring the idea of 'virtual' sittings, given government's advice on social distancing and self-isolation.
Juan Watterson currently serves as Chairman of the Standing Orders Committee, and Tynwald Management Committee.
He says it's important that parliament is able to maximise the numbers of members participating in debates, and to avoid perceptions of hypocrisy:
