It was 'vitally important' for the Isle of Man to invest in its infrastructure and public sector, despite it creating an imbalance in the pension fund.

That's the view of the chair of the Public Sector Pensions Authority as the body consults its members over the future of public sector pensions.

Although the pension pot is facing a funding gap, Jerry Carter says the Isle of Man had to remain competitive compared to the UK.

He says it's not about playing the 'blame game':
