Volunteers collecting for Gaza

Volunteers from the Island's Rapid Response Network are on the streets today, collecting money for for Palestinian victims of the recent escalation of the conflict in Gaza.

It's part of the United Kingdom Disaster Emergency Committee's Crisis Appeal to help provide humanitarian relief, food, water and medical care to the region.

Donations can be made by putting money into orange buckets in towns across the Island.

Meanwhile, the Oxfam shop in Castle Street, Douglas continues to take cash donations for the same cause.

The international charity has resumed work in the region in the past few days and will pass on any money to the DEC.
