Commissioner's smoke and mirrors warning
Debate in Tynwald over the war memorial next to Ramsey courthouse is deflecting from the real issue of the building's sale.
That's according to Ramsey Commissioner Eric Corkish.
He says MHK's discussions in the Court yesterday, over the impact of private ownership on rights of way near the memorial, are 'missing the point'.
That debate would be irrelevant, he claims, if the building were sold to local authorities - in accordance with northern residents' wishes.
Mr Corkish is calling it a deliberate act of distraction by government.
