Fourth warmest Manx December since 1948
2018 had a warmer end to the year than normal according to Ronaldsway Met Office.
Last month was the fourth mildest December since 1948, with an average temperature of 8.7°C, 2°C higher than usual.
The lowest temperature recorded was 2.6°C, while no thunderstorms, sleet or snow were observed.
However, there were just 31.4 hours of sunshine, around a third lower than normal for the month of December, with half of the days having no sunshine at all.
Wind speeds were slightly below average, with a 73mph gust the strongest recorded last month.
