High tides and strong winds combine
There's a warning strong winds and high tide will create potentially dangerous conditions on coastal roads and promenades around the Island this lunchtime (28 Dec).
Large waves are forecast to splash over sea walls in Douglas, Ramsey, Laxey, Castletown, Port Erin, Port St Mary and along the south-east coast.
High tide's due at 1.11pm and the Met Office has warned large waves could bring debris on shore, especially in Douglas - where promenade parking is not advised.
Winds will be stronger tomorrow than today, with gales on Tuesday afternoon (29 Dec) reaching severe gale force by evening, when heavy rain will develop.
