Warning of mass exodus of Manx police officers

Chief constable discusses recruitment and retention with Tynwald committee

The Island could face a mass exodus of experienced police officers in the next few years.

That warning has come from the Chief Constable in evidence given to a Tynwald Justice Committee.

Russ Foster says pay for officers has been increased to make a career in the force more attractive.

But getting the money to pay for that is another issue:

The Isle of Man Constabulary began its latest recruitment campaign today (2 February) as it searches for new Police and Special Constables.
