Police are hunting for burglars who raided a house in Albany Road, Douglas in the past couple of days.
The property was unoccupied at the time, and it's though they got inside through an upstairs bathroom window.
Checks are still being carried out to find out what, if anything, was taken.
Police say domestic burglaries are rare in the Isle of Man, but the incident should bring home to residents the importace of making sure all windows and doors are secure, at all times.
Anybody with information is asked to ring Police Headquarters, on 631212, or the anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
The burglary was committed between 8.15am and 4pm on Thursday.
