Commissioner pleased with deal
A new agreement on waste disposal charges is more 'fair' on the ratepayer.
That's according to Onchan Commissioner Rob Callister.
On Wednesday, the Department of Infrastructure announced the fees for domestic rubbish would be frozen for another year from April.
The compromise between the Department and local authorities follows negotiations over rising costs to use the Energy from Waste plant.
