
The Island is aiming to be recycling 70% of its waste by 2022, and decrease landfill from 25% to just 5%.
The targets were confirmed by Infrastructure Minister David Cretney during House of Keys questions today.
In making a statement to the Keys on waste policy and strategy for the coming decade, he said the department's vision was to work towards a zero waste island where it was seen as a valuable resource:
