Laxey was hit last night by what's been described by a local resident as a 'tremendous downpour'.
The fire service has confirmed that at least two properties in Lower Laxey had to have water pumped from them.
Around 30-40mm of rain came down in the village in the early hours of this morning, leaving trees down on Captain's Hill, blocking the area.
