Water supplies have been reconnected to most of the properties in the Strang and Mount Rule areas which were affected by a burst main in the area this morning (Tues).
The fault in a field near Trollaby Lane was isolated by engineers and is being repaired.
The Water Authority is advising customers who experience discoloured water to run the cold water tap in the kitchen sink until it runs clear.
The Authority is apologising for the inconvenience caused to its customers.
