Demonstration held by Royal College of Nursing
A number of Manx nurses and union representatives have begun walking from Noble's Hospital towards Tynwald in a protest over pay in the last hour.
The Royal College of Nursing members are marching through Douglas in what they call a peaceful demonstration.
It’s in response to RCN’s rejection of the latest pay offer proposed by Manx Care, with 70 per cent of respondents to a recent ballot voting in favour of industrial action.
Pebbles Maddrell is with Unite the Union and explains why nurses are taking to the streets:
'It's high time for nurses to be valued here on the Isle of Man' - Karin Tiagan, Chair of RCN Isle of Man Branch.
