Timings for today's New Year's Day Dips
Hundreds of people are expected to welcome in 2024 on the Isle of Man with a swim in the sea.
The Manx tradition of a New Year's Day Dip continues today.
The timings for the events around the Island are as follows:
Southern Dips:
10am: Port St Mary, Chapel Beach
10.45am: Port St Mary, Inner Harbour
11.30am: Gansey Beach
12.15pm: Port Erin Beach
(Dippers are invited to take part in all four dips)
11am:
Ramsey, by the lifeboat house, registration from 10am
12noon:
Castletown Outer Harbour
Peel Beach (register at the Sailing Club from 10.30am)
Laxey
1pm:
Douglas, Queens Promenade (more info at douglasdip.im) – raising money for Breast Cancer Now and Beach Buddies
