
Health minister Eddie Teare has welcomed the news Wales won’t end the reciprocal health agreement when England does.
Michael German, a senior member of the National Assembly of Wales, says UK secretary of state for health Andy Burnham doesn’t have the power to end it on behalf of the Welsh
Mr Teare says it’s good news which could be reflected in Scotland and Northern Ireland as they have similarly devolved governments.
And he says it will also mean no charges for Welsh patients at Manx hospitals:
