It says entry will be refused to people who don't live in the west
The Western Civic Amenity Site has confirmed it will be keeping address verification procedures in place following the temporary closure of the Balladoole site.
In a statement, the site says due to 'limited capacity' it is unable to accept waste from residents of the northern parishes.
The site adds visitors should be prepared to provide proof of their address and access will be refused to those who live outside the west.
The facility is funded by the ratepayers of the five western parishes and it says it 'must prioritise' the service for this community.
