Survey opens into provision to develop future development
Residents, patients, carers and service users are being encouraged to fill out a new government public survey.
It's hoped it will help shape the Isle of Man’s next Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA).
Feedback is being sought on the provision of both community and hospital pharmaceutical services across the Island.
Government says 'insights gathered will inform the development of an updated PNA, ensuring future service planning and pharmacy services are based on a strong understanding of current and emerging needs'.
The last PNA was published in 2019.
The survey explores the availability, accessibility and quality of pharmacy services provided by:
- Private sector pharmacy providers
- Noble’s Hospital Pharmacy team
- Pharmacists / Pharmacy Technicians working in medical centres
- Manx Care’s Medicines Optimisation team
Health and Social Care Minister Claire Christian said: "By listening to the experiences and expectations of patients, carers and service users we can ensure that the new Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment genuinely reflects the needs of our community.
"This survey is an important opportunity to strengthen transparency and ensure community perspectives are fully reflected to support the development of high-quality pharmaceutical services for the future."
