
It’s business as usual for the Whitley Council.
That’s the belief of chairman of the employers’ side John Houghton after a recent row.
Mr Houghton, an MHK for North Douglas, made allegations to police about an employee counterpart following a meeting last month, and all full meetings of the Council have been suspended as a result.
Mr Houghton (pictured) says he is unable to comment at this time, but the employers’ side is open for business and ready to meet employees’ officials.
He is also thanking Brenda Skillicorn from the personnel office and secretary of the employees' side Bernard Moffatt for ensuring work remains ongoing.
