Ranked 7th richest in North West
Island businessman John Whittaker has been revealed as one of the richest men in the North West.
The chairman of The Peel Group ranked seventh in the regional sector of The Sunday Times Rich List.
He recorded a wealth of £1.4 billion in 2021 – a drop of £200 million on the previous year - and placed 120th out of the 250 people featured nationally.
The richest person was deemed to be The Duke of Westminster and the Grosvenor Family who amassed £10.054 billion.
